We are looking for a Title Clerk to join our team. The Title Clerk is responsible for handling all aspects of processing vehicle titles and registrations for new and used vehicles sold by the dealership. This position ensures all documents are accurate, complete, and submitted within required timelines to comply with state and federal regulations. The Title Clerk works closely with sales, finance, and accounting departments to maintain smooth and efficient operations.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Process vehicle titles, registrations, and related documentation for new and used car sales, trade-ins, and wholesale transactions.
  • Review title work for accuracy, ensuring all necessary signatures, lien releases, and supporting documents are included.
  • Submit completed paperwork to the DMV or appropriate agency in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate logs of all titles, registrations, and transactions.
  • Reconcile title discrepancies, resolve issues, and follow up with banks, customers, or DMV as needed.
  • File and maintain title records in compliance with state and federal laws.
  • Communicate with sales and finance departments to obtain missing or corrected documents.
  • Handle payoffs, lien releases, and verify funding from lenders.
  • Assist with auditing and reporting of title-related records as requested.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal staff and external partners
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a Title Clerk in an automotive dealership
  • Knowledge of state DMV regulations and requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
  • Proficiency with dealership management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Experience:
  • 1-2 years of previous Title Clerk experience
Schedule:
  • Monday- Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
