Automotive Contract Clerk Diplomat Motors - 4.5 Troutdale, OR Job Details Contract $23 - $29 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Opportunities for advancement Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Diplomat Motors is looking for a motivated and experienced Automotive Contract Clerk to join our expanding operation. This role plays a pivotal part in our dealership's success — your expertise in processing contract-related paperwork for vehicle sales transactions keeps every deal moving smoothly, accurately, and on time. We're looking for someone who is detail-oriented, dependable, and able to keep pace in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The right person will juggle multiple deals at once while bringing strong communication, administrative, organizational, and computer skills to the team. This is a great opportunity for someone with automotive contract clerk experience — ideally from a consolidated Business Office — who is ready to take ownership of the contract process and grow within a results-driven dealership group.
Compensation:
$23 - $29 hourly
Responsibilities:
Contract Processing & Compliance Process all vehicle contracts in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring all required compliance documentation is included Verify, process, and post transactions related to Vehicle Sales, Trade-In Units, and Dealer Trades Funding & Payment Reconciliation Daily review, follow-up, and posting of EFT contract funding, customer down payments, F&I reserve funding, lien payoffs, and flooring payments Daily review, follow-up, and correction of schedules related to the contract process, including CIT, vehicle receivable, and lien payoff Interdepartmental Coordination Communicate weekly with the Controller on any pending issues related to contract posting Perform other administrative and office support duties as assigned
Qualifications:
3+ years of Automotive Contract Clerk experience preferred (automotive experience required) Dealertrack experience is a plus Ability to process DMV paperwork is a plus Strong follow-through and organizational skills Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to stay composed under pressure Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Friendly, helpful, professional, and dependable demeanor Strong computer and internet skills, including Excel High school diploma or GED required; some post-high school education or training preferred Reliable attendance required About Company Two high-performing locations selling 140+ vehicles per month Proven systems, strong leadership, and clear expectations Performance-focused, no-drama culture Expansion plans with real advancement opportunities We value integrity, accountability, and people who show up ready to work.
