Job Responsibilities:

Process and re-assign titles for vehicle sold by auction.

Examine vehicle title for accuracy and conformity to specified requirements. Verify acceptance of the title tin the state for which it is filed. Confirm accuracy and report any discrepancies.

Resolve Title issues through interactions with customers or accounts.

Run 30-day outstanding title report for consignment vehicles sold without titles and contact sellers to obtain title.

Perform other duties such as processing sale day transactions using the AS400 and provide customer service.

Verify purchases in-lane using the DVR.

Gain proficiency in DMV processes within 6 months of hire

Provides customer support via phone using a headset in a fast-paced environment.

Requires full counter coverage, greeting and assisting clients, and guests. (I know this is listed on the general req for Title Specialist, just want to make sure they know it is an important part of the role here at our location, we are a small location)

Access and or add client information from Auction Access

Assist in sale day Settlement balancing.

Ensure Front counter coverage.

Visibly demonstrate commitment to Client Satisfaction modeling the behaviors of Cox culture

Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

May be required to travel and or work overtime as business needs dictate.

Qualifications:

Two or more years of related experience required in the auction industry or at the DMV.

Effective communication skills required.

Must possess good problem-solving and organizational skills.

Valid driver's license and safe driving record required.

High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' experience in a related field.

OR the right candidate could also have a different combination, such as any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline and up to 1 year of experience;

OR 5 years' experience in a related field.

Previous vehicle title experience and title handling are required.

Ability to recognize title brands and other relevant notations related to titles is a requirement.

Bending and light lifting 10 lbs. or less required.

Preferred:

Must have strong organizational skills and be very detail-oriented.

Ability to type and use 10-key proficiently required.

Sitting and standing for extended periods of time.

Extensive detail handwritten and computer work.

Willingness to become a Notary is desired.

Compensation:

Hourly pay rate is in the range of $18.22

  • $27.

36/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Benefits:

Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
