Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Examine title orders within company guidelines to determine the conditions of the title and insurability by considering the effect of documents such as deeds, mortgages, mechanics liens, state and federal tax liens, judgments, bankruptcy cases, child support liens, property assessments, probates and other matters of record Confer with realtors, lending institution personnel, buyers, sellers, contractors, surveyors, attorneys and courthouse personnel in order to exchange title-related information or to resolve problems Utilize and research various courthouse systems to analyze and evaluate pertinent recorded documents for determination of ownership, legal descriptions, title defects and support risk analysis and underwriting recommendations. Obtain and examine maps, plats and drawings, delineating properties from company title plants, surveyors Prepare an accurate title commitment in accordance with company examining and policy procedures Provide a high level of customer service, including the building of strong relationships with our customers and colleagues

Experience:
Experience in the land title industry desired but not required. A high school diploma is required. A valid driver's license is necessary for limited travel. Pay based on experience and qualifications. An acceptable background and credit check will be required for this position.
