Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Powersports Title Clerk to manage all aspects of vehicle titling, registration, lien processing, and related documentation for motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, personal watercraft, trailers, and other powersports inventory. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of DMV procedures, lender requirements, and dealership compliance standards while maintaining accuracy and excellent internal customer service. Key Responsibilities Process titles and registrations for new and used powersports vehicles Verify accuracy of sales, trade, payoff, and financing paperwork Submit title applications and supporting documents to state agencies Handle lien recordings, lien releases, and title corrections Process out-of-state titles and registration transactions Track title status and follow up on missing or delayed documents Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations Reconcile title schedules and maintain organized title files Communicate with customers, lenders, sales staff, and state agencies regarding title issues Audit deal jackets for completeness and accuracy Maintain confidentiality of customer and dealership information Assist accounting office with funding, payoffs, and related administrative duties as needed Qualifications Minimum 2 years of dealership title clerk experience preferred Powersports dealership experience strongly preferred Knowledge of DMV/title regulations and registration procedures Experience with lender funding and payoff processing Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Proficient in dealership management systems and Microsoft Office Strong communication and problem-solving abilities High school diploma or equivalent required Preferred Skills Experience with multi-state titling Familiarity with dealership accounting processes Ability to manage high transaction volume with accuracy Self-motivated and dependable team player Work Environment Office environment within a powersports dealership Full-time position with standard business hours Occasional overtime may be required during peak periods Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Health, dental, and vision insurance Employee discounts
