This position will be a Hybrid role and will require onsite to support admissions and tours. Primary Purpose and Function The primary function of the Admissions Advisor is to coordinate the operation of pre-assessment, assessment, and subsequent admissions processes of all incoming clients/families. The Admissions Advisor is responsible for fielding calls from various sources (e.g., Internet, direct referrals, etc.), converting callers to clients and then managing the intake and admission activities of the client. The Advisor sets the tone of respect, compassion, empathy, and a sense of urgency with potential clients and their families. The Admissions Advisor provides initial contact with referral sources and potential clients, coordinates the referral and pre-admission process, and maintains follow-up communication with referral sources, families, clients and clinical program staff. The Admissions Advisor is responsible for educating clients and guarantors about payment options, clarifying the insurance process and possible coverage, and handling arrangements with incoming clients and guarantors for payment prior to or at admissions. Due to the nature of the business, this role will require 24/7 concierge type of service with accounts that may involve handling calls at night and on weekends when necessary. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Accountable for answering all intake calls from and converting callers to clients. Accountable for achieving monthly performance metrics and demonstrates an active desire to drive for results; steadfastly pushes self and others; consistent meets and/or exceeds goals. Proactively notifies the Admissions Manager of any significantly problematic circumstances with a client's case, referent, family, or client complaint. Functions as an advocate for the client at all times. Takes action necessary to assure intake needs of clients can be met. Works within the financial parameters provided by the VP of Revenue Cycle & National Executive Director and ensure that financial data is communicated effectively throughout the treatment continuum. Inputs all relevant data on all calls and actual admissions into Salesforce and KIPU, in a timely basis including but not limited to referral information, status notes, clinical collateral, and financial data. Generates, guides and leads independent discussions with referral sources for customer support, conflict resolution and business development with other treatment and healthcare professionals. Develop rapport with potential clients including answering questions and concerns about treatment at BrightQuest Treatment Centers. Arrange and schedule assessments including client arrival for admission in a timely manner. Independently assess family needs for mediation, sober escort and intervention and determine which professional resources are most appropriate to contact based on information gathered. Obtain client data and information to support clinical assessment. Maintain and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Participates in training and meets agency and licensure expectations related to training. Must be able to relate well to all kinds of people both inside and outside the organization; builds appropriate rapport; builds constructive and effective relationships; uses diplomacy and tact; can diffuse even high-tension situations comfortably. Ability to exercise good judgment and apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in psychology, Social Work, or other Health Related Field preferred. Sales or marketing experience is required. Experience in healthcare setting, residential mental health or addictions arena is preferred. Experience with crisis management and de-escalation techniques. Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees and management. Specific, required, current, and active licensure, registration, or certification must be maintained in good standing. Preferred candidates should have sound understanding of mental illness, co-occurring disorders, and milieu therapy. Proficient computer skills and ability use various software programs. Have a valid driver's license in good standing and auto insurance. Successfully complete drug screen and comprehensive background check. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment. Ability to work evenings, nights and weekends as needed. Flexibility and adaptability in schedule are essential.
