Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Admissions Intake Specialist to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the intake, maintaining, processing, and documenting housing applications according to Housing Authority policy. Responsible for ensuring that all application information is entered into the ASHA's database in a timely manner.. Duties Process all program applications, screen and perform verifications on information obtained from the application. Set up new applicant and tenant information in housing software system ("Kanso") to ensure files are created at intake. Conduct intake interviews on those applicants who request ASHA guidance on completing applications. Conducts credit and criminal checks, follows program policy and procedures when screening data reports. Receive calls from applicants and public on general program questions, status of applications or wait list timelines. Correspond with applicants as needed to ensure all required documents are submitted to the Housing Authority. Send letters and/or contact the applicant references via phone and/or email to document references, such as, current and prior landlords, personal references, and any other needed verifications to complete the application screening. Send verification form available through ASHA's housing software system ("Kanso") to determine income eligibility. Secondary verification may be obtained through paystubs, and other eligible income data programs to properly document income. Input all data received into the housing software system ("Kanso"). Perform home visits on applicant at their current residence to properly record their current living situation. Assist Admissions Coordinator as needed on notifying applicants of waiting list status or offering of housing units. Stays knowledgeable on ASHA's program policies and procedures. Reports to the manager on applicants determined ineligible for services. Attend outreach events to share program information with the public. Assist in producing monthly and annual reports on programming activities. Primary backup support for the front desk duties Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor Skills Must be able to maintain very strict confidentiality. Must have the ability to follow policies and procedures. Must be self-motivated, very organized and work with a minimum of supervision. Must be able to communicate with tact and professionalism toward the public and fellow employees. Experience and Training High School Diploma or GED Equivalent Experience of property management a plus Knowledge of NAHASDA regulations Knowledge of housing software system (KANSO) Above average typing skills Possession of a valid Oklahoma driver's license and be insurable
Pay:
$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
