Admissions Specialist
- Patient Access Services
- PRN Admissions Specialist
- Patient Access Services Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Position Highlights Work location: Texas Health Willow Park 101 Crown Point Blvd.
Department Highlights:
- The Applications Specialist is a key member of the Patient Access Services team including ER, Outpatient and Scheduling.
- Orientation and training and remediation of PAS team on mulitple campus.
- Provides support to staff and PAS leadership to meet KPI goals and target.
- Team-oriented work environment with expanded resources from other Patient Access areas.
- Implementation of new and existing projects.
- Supports and performs quality measures to meet Rev Cycle, PAS and regulatory objectives
Here's What You Need:
- Education H.S. Diploma or Equivalent required Other Healthcare or related field 2 years college coursework preferred
- Experience 3 Years Experience in Insurance verification, Hospital Admitting, or Business Office required. Previous technical support, training, and beta testing experience preferred.
- Licenses and Certifications CHAA
- Certified Healthcare Access Associate Upon Hire CHAM
Certified Healthcare Access Manager Upon Hire Skills and Abilities:
- Analytical and administrative skills necessary to accurately compile statistics, write Ad hoc reports, maintain logs, and input data into various computer programs.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse user groups.
- Planning and project management skills.
- PC proficient with knowledge of software including all Microsoft applications.
- Strong interpersonal communication, documentation, and customer service skills required.

- Duties to include, but not limited to: Responsible for onboarding new hires and completing Patient Access competency checklist review.
