The student should have experience in soldering, making circuit boards, building optical instrumentation, and using tools. Lab aides may need to complete training sessions on a regular basis. Applicants should have an interest in physics as well as in teaching others. A basic understanding of data collection, spreadsheets, and computer skills is necessary. A good understanding of scientific and math concepts is necessary. Preferred Qualifications Physics experience preferred. Hiring preference will be given to those who have worked previously as Physics Department lab aides or those who are knowledgeable in the care, handling, and use of physics laboratory equipment.
