- About the Division of Geriatrics
- The Division of Geriatrics at UTMB is dedicated to improving the health, independence, and quality of life of older adults through excellence in clinical care, education, and research. With
- 8 faculty, 8 advanced practice providers
- and
- 2 to 4 fellows per year
- , the Division provides comprehensive geriatric care across diverse settings, including ambulatory clinics, inpatient consult services, long-term care facilities, and the home environment through our House Call Program.
- Position Summary
- UTMB is recruiting a full-time advanced practice provider within the Division of Geriatrics to provide patient-centered care to medically complex and functionally limited older adults in the ambulatory setting.
- Essential Responsibilities
- + Provide comprehensive outpatient care for older adults, addressing complex medical, cognitive, and functional conditions.
- Minimum Qualifications
- + Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program. + Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) with current license in the State of Texas
- Preferred Qualifications
- + Current Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) certification or Physician Assistants (PA-C) with Certificates of Added + Qualifications in Acute Care + Experience in providing acute care to geriatric or medically complex populations.
