Job Summary Coordinates all functions of administration of the Nicole Wertheim College of Nursing & Health Sciences (NWCNHS) advancement office including budget, correspondence, printing, and overall administration of the office. Supports all functions of discovery, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of all aspects and donors of philanthropic gifts and support to the College and its programs. Coordinates all details of special events, proposals, donors and prospect communications, visits, tours, and meetings. Supports the complete annual work plan of the development office for NWCNHS. Coordinates the implementation of strategies to secure gift funding from individuals, corporations, and foundations in support of advancement associated with the College's academic programs. Coordinates non-academic events for the College; planning and organizing activities which may include fundraising and public/social functions, especially for alumni events. Provides counsel, advise and technical assistance to each unit on materials necessary for the raising of funds for the Nicole Wertheim College of Nursing and Health Sciences' programs. Coordinates activities to promote and develop stewardship and gifts within the College. Coordinates the development of publicity materials and sources for all programs within the College and recommends to the Dean and/or Department Head for final approval. Works with the Director of Development to coordinate the implementation of a strategic work plan that includes the internal and external objectives of the College and University Advancement. Provides budget oversight in management and implementation of assigned fundraising and monitoring funds raised through the FIU Foundation. Assists the Development Director to ensure the awarding of scholarship funds, established by charitable donations, in the College. Represents and promotes the University by interaction with community leaders and civic organizations when the Dean and Director are not available. Serves as the Procard User for departmental transactions. Assures compliance and adherence to University credit card policies and procedures. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of office or related experience providing administrative support, or coordinating functions of an office or department.Desired Qualifications:
Experience in development and/or fundraising preferred. Knowledge of Raiser's Edge or other fundraising software a plus. Experience with planning special events. Job Category Administrativ e Advertised Salary $45,000- 50,000 Work Schedule Begin time: 8:30 AM End time: 5:00
