Heidelberg AmeriPro EMS is hiring experienced Advanced EMTs (AEMTs) to provide high-quality Advanced Life Support (ALS) care under approved protocols. This role is ideal for providers seeking increased clinical responsibility and growth opportunities. Key Responsibilities Provide BLS and limited ALS patient care in accordance with protocols Establish and maintain IV access and administer approved medications Perform advanced airway management, including supraglottic airways Assist Paramedics with ALS interventions when applicable Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitoring Safely operate emergency vehicles and equipment Accurately complete patient care documentation Maintain readiness of ambulance, equipment, and medications Why Choose AmeriPro? Current CPR:
BLS certification Valid state specific Drivers' license FEMA IS certs: (IS-100; IS-200; IS-700; IS-800) Physical Qualifications List While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, stand, or balance. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 180 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 300 pounds with assistance from others. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Required Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent qualification State specific Emergency Medical Technician certification / licensure in good standing / current NREMT certification if applicable by state law
Current CPR:
BLS certification Valid state specific Drivers' license Successful completion of a comprehensive background check and drug screening Strong people skills and proven ability to collaborate within a team Proficient verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to comprehend and execute verbal and written instructions in English FEMA IS certs: (IS-100; IS-200; IS-700; IS-800) Preferred Qualifications Previous experience working as an EMT or in a similar medical role Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) and/or International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) training Skills Knowledge of methods and techniques for providing on-site emergency medical services Knowledge of company medical director approved protocols and standing orders Ability to read and interpret local maps Demonstrated skills in the successful completion of multiple, simultaneous and rapidly emergent tasks Demonstrated ability to read and understand medical terminology Demonstrated ability to write reports, and correspondence Demonstrated ability to utilize personal computer systems including PCR reporting, email and MDT applications Demonstrated ability to represent AmeriPro EMS and other team members as an EMS professional Working Environment Due to the nature of EMS Care working conditions, employees may be exposed to inclement weather, potential hazardous conditions, psychological stressors, diseases, and other illnesses. Frequent interruptions, work pressure, difficult personalities, and irregularities in work schedule are expected. Employee is subject to continually changing deadlines while performing the duties of this job. The employee will be occasionally required to attend meetings, some of which may take place outside of regular working hours.
