AFH Caregiver

Job Summary Join our dedicated team as an AFH (Adult Family Home) Caregiver, where you will play a vital role in providing compassionate, personalized care to residents in a home-like setting. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols Support residents with memory care needs, including Alzheimer's and dementia care strategies Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements and assist with feeding when necessary Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment through regular cleaning and sanitation tasks Use Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems to document care activities, health updates, and incident reports Support residents' emotional well-being through social engagement, behavior management, and companionship Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts safely to prevent injury during transfers Skills Proven experience in assisted living or long-term care environments with a strong understanding of senior care principles Knowledge of dementia and Alzheimer's care techniques to support residents with cognitive impairments Ability to perform first aid and respond effectively in emergency situations Familiarity with medication administration protocols and vital signs monitoring Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities requiring specialized support Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members, residents, and families Ability to manage behavior effectively using compassionate strategies Competence in cleaning routines and maintaining a hygienic environment Valid driver's license for safe transportation duties when required Experience operating EMR systems for accurate documentation

Requirements:

Active NAC or NAR with HCA; Nurse Delegation, Core Basic Training, Dementia, Mental Health, Diabetes Current CPR/First Aid US Citizen or valid work visa.

Pay:

$22.00 - $30.00 per hour
