We are looking for a strong leader who is passionate about working with children, supporting staff, creating a positive environment, and ensuring the safety and success of daily operations. The ideal candidate is organized, hands-on, professional, and able to manage multiple responsibilities while building strong relationships with students, parents, school staff, and team members. Responsibilities Supervise daily operations of the afterschool and summer camp program Lead, support, and manage counselors and activity leaders Ensure the safety, supervision, and well-being of all students at all times Maintain accurate attendance, sign-in/sign-out procedures, and student accountability Communicate professionally with parents, school administration, and staff Monitor behavior management and support positive student interactions Ensure staff follow program policies, procedures, and licensing requirements Coordinate transitions, snack time, homework support, clubs, and outdoor activities Respond appropriately to incidents, injuries, and emergencies Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming program environment Support enrollment, parent questions, and daily program needs Qualifications Experience working in childcare, afterschool programs, camps, or education Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to manage groups of children and staff effectively Positive attitude, dependable, and team-oriented Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of child safety and behavior management practices CPR/First Aid Certification preferred Must pass Level II Background Screening Must have Director's Credential Preferred Skills Experience with school-age children Ability to lead activities and engage students Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills Comfortable communicating with parents and school administration Schedule Monday-Friday After School Hours (1:15 PM - 6:00 PM) & Summer Camp Hours (AM or PM Shift) Additional hours may be required for non-school days, field trips, and special events
