BUSCO, LLC
is seeking a skilled Agricultural Mechanic to support our Christmas tree farming operations in Oregon. This position is responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing heavy agricultural equipment, trucks, and harvest machinery to ensure maximum uptime—especially during peak harvest season. This is a hands-on role requiring strong mechanical skills, field repair capability, and organized fleet maintenance management. Key Responsibilities Equipment Maintenance & Repair
  • Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulics, PTO systems, and gearboxes
  • Maintain tractors, loaders, forklifts, harvesters, balers, irrigation pumps, and support trucks
  • Perform welding and light fabrication (MIG/Stick)
  • Conduct 12V/24V electrical diagnostics
  • Respond to emergency breakdowns in the field Preventive Maintenance Program
  • Manage oil, filter, hydraulic, brake, tire, and cooling system inspections
  • Perform seasonal harvest-readiness inspections
  • Track service intervals by hours/mileage
  • Maintain preventive maintenance schedules Fleet & Digital Recordkeeping
  • Maintain digital maintenance logs per unit
  • Track parts inventory and service records
  • Upload receipts and service reports to Monday.com
  • Monitor GPS diagnostic alerts (Bouncie system)
  • Ensure proper labeling of equipment with unit numbers and PM due dates
  • Track registrations and inspection compliance Operational Communication
  • Provide daily repair updates via company WhatsApp groups
  • Send breakdown alerts and repair status updates
  • Share photos/videos for remote diagnostics
  • Confirm equipment readiness before dispatch Equipment Experience Preferred Agricultural & Christmas Tree Equipment
  • Tree harvesters, balers, netting machines
  • Shakers, pruners, shearing equipment
  • Irrigation pumps & small engines Heavy Equipment
  • Agricultural tractors (John Deere, Kubota, Massey Ferguson, etc.)
  • Front loaders & forklifts
  • UTVs / field vehicles
  • Service and flatbed trucks Shop Equipment
  • Hydraulic press
  • Diesel diagnostic tools
  • Air compressor & pneumatic tools Qualifications
  • 3+ years of agricultural or heavy equipment mechanic experience preferred
  • Strong diesel and hydraulic troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently in field conditions
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs
  • Valid driver's license
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred (not required)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills Work Environment

Job Type:
