Seeking a highly experienced Service Manager for a reputable multi-location Retail Ag Equipment company. Must excel in customer service. Preferred candidates should have 2-4 years of management experience or 5 years of combined diesel repair and service management.

Job Description :
As the Service Manager, you will oversee and manage the service department's operations, ensuring exceptional customer service and maintaining equipment to the highest standards. Utilizing your experience in agricultural equipment repairs, you will recruit and lead a team of skilled technicians and service advisors, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Essential Functions :
  • Oversee the overall performance of the Service Department, meeting revenue and profit goals as defined in the annual and monthly plans.
  • Manage customer relationships, department staff productivity, and service quality.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to achieve department goals, promoting the company's vision, mission, and culture.
  • Enforce safety practices and manage within OSHA guidelines.
  • Handle recruitment, hiring, training, discipline, and firing to ensure competent staffing.
  • Manage the appearance, upkeep, and security of the shop and related facilities.
  • Make recommendations to the General Manager on staffing and compensation.
  • Inform the General Manager of any issues related to service operations promptly.
  • Attend required meetings and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience :
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Some college or trade school required.
  • Experience with major equipment brands preferred.
  • 5+ years in a responsible position within the ag equipment service industry.
  • 1-3 years of sales experience.
  • 3-5 years administrative/clerical experience.
  • 3-5 years supervisory/management experience.
  • 5+ years of customer service experience.
  • 5+ years of technical or mechanical experience.
