Job Description

Lead Age Group Coach - Junior 2 (Ages 12-14) Olympic Cascade Aquatics (OCA) Olympic Cascade Aquatics (OCA) is seeking a motivated and experienced coach to lead our Junior 2 training group (ages 12-14) — the top level of our age group program and a key step in our swimmer development pipeline. This is a unique opportunity for a coach who enjoys working with driven athletes and wants to play a meaningful role in shaping swimmers as they transition toward senior-level training and competition. OCA is a coach-owned, 185-member USA Swimming team based on Mercer Island. Despite our size, we consistently place in the top 5 in Pacific Northwest Swimming, with a strong culture built around athlete development, team connection, and long-term success. Our coaching staff works collaboratively across all groups to ensure consistency and progression throughout the program. Position Overview Lead coach for the Junior 2 group (top 12-14-year-olds) Design and implement season and practice plans aligned with team philosophy Attend and support swim meets (1-2 per month) Collaborate with senior and junior coaching staff Opportunity to take on additional groups (including Novice or Junior levels) for expanded role and full-time consideration Schedule 6 in-water practices per week 2 dryland sessions per week Meet attendance as required Qualifications Previous competitive swim coaching experience required Strong understanding of stroke development and age group progression Ability to connect with and motivate 12-14-year-old athletes USA Swimming certifications required
Compensation & Benefits Hourly:
