Job Description

This is a contract position that will involve working on a large state of CA IT project in which you will be part of a state PMO assisting a large vendor in taking over a complex health care payment system. This will be a one year contract. This job will be performed mostly remotely though occasional travel to the client site in Sacramento may be required. Job Description Delivery of targeted training and coaching to introduce and support the development of skills in Agile practices Providing teams with ongoing support during Agile Sprints to ensure the processes of Agile are followed Integrating Agile practices for project management into the Project Management Office (PMO)/portfolio project management framework and tool kit Informing and educating key stakeholders on Agile topics Developing and conducting training on Agile topics and the Agile Software Development process; and Leading by example and modeling the Agile practices, including becoming engaged as a Scrum Master, as needed Leading by example and modeling the Agile practices, including becoming engaged as a Scrum Master, as needed Being proactive in identifying problem areas and providing solutions Position Requirements At least five (5) years of full-time equivalent (FTE) experience working on an Agile Software Development project(s) in the last ten (10) years, in the role of a Scrum Master or Agile coach/trainer At least three (3) years of FTE experience working as an Agile coach in the last five (5) years At least three (3) years of FTE experience developing or implementing with use of either scrum or a scaled Agile framework (e.g., Disciplined Agile Delivery, Large Scale Scrum, Scaled Agile Framework, etc.) At least two (2) years of FTE experience in the last five (5) years using estimating models (e.g., Fibonacci estimating, scrum poker, status, etc.) for large or complex Agile development projects which are similar in scope to CMIPS Candidate must have at least one of the following certifications: Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) International Consortium for Agile (ICAgile) Certified Professional - Agile Coaching Scrum Alliance Certified Enterprise Coach (CEC) Certified Scrum Trainer (CST) Certified Team Coach (CTC) Candidate must be willing and able to represent and advocate for the state, and State project resources Willing and able to represent and advocate for the state, and State project resources Desirable Qualifications Experience working on a State of CA large IT project Familiarity with the business practices of the State State of CA residency PMP certification State of CA PAL experience
