Tree Climber

Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tree Climber to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for tree care and landscape maintenance, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. This role involves climbing trees to perform various maintenance tasks, ensuring the health and aesthetics of trees in our care. The Tree Climber will also play a key role in supervising and training junior staff, contributing to a positive work environment. Responsibilities Climb trees using appropriate safety gear and techniques to perform pruning, trimming, and removal of branches. Assess tree health and provide recommendations for care and treatment. Supervise and mentor junior team members in tree care practices and safety protocols. Maintain equipment used in tree climbing and care, ensuring all tools are in good working condition. Collaborate with landscape teams to integrate tree care into overall landscape maintenance plans. Assist in irrigation tasks as needed to promote healthy growth of trees and surrounding plants. Perform groundskeeping duties to maintain clean and safe work environments. Build support structures for trees when necessary, ensuring their stability and health. Requirements Proven experience in tree care, landscaping, or related fields is preferred. Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate team members. Knowledge of proper tree climbing techniques and safety measures. Familiarity with lawn care practices, garden maintenance, and landscape management. Ability to operate landscaping equipment safely and effectively. Excellent physical stamina and strength to perform demanding tasks at heights. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients. A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety in all operations.
