Tree Climber (Arborist)

Responsibilities Perform tree climbing operations for pruning, removals, and maintenance using ropes, harnesses, and climbing gear Operate chainsaws, chippers, and other specialized tree care equipment safely and efficiently Identify tree species, structural issues, and signs of disease or pests Apply proper pruning techniques to improve tree health and structure Assist with tree removals, including rigging and lowering of limbs Maintain a clean and safe job site at all times Communicate effectively with crew members and supervisors to ensure efficient job completion Follow all company safety protocols and industry standards (ANSI) Qualifications Previous experience as a tree climber or arborist (preferred) Knowledge of proper pruning and tree care practices Experience with ropes, rigging, and climbing systems Ability to safely operate chainsaws and aerial equipment Strong understanding of safety procedures and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) ISA Certification (preferred or willingness to obtain) Valid drivers license (CDL a plus) Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus Ability to climb and work at heights for extended periods Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions Capable of performing physically demanding tasks daily Offered compensation: $22.08/hr
