Overview Join our dynamic team as a Tree Trimmer and play a vital role in maintaining healthy, safe, and beautiful urban and suburban landscapes. In this energetic position, you will be responsible for trimming, pruning, and removing trees to promote their growth and safety. Your expertise will help enhance the aesthetics of outdoor spaces while ensuring safety protocols are strictly followed. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, utilize specialized equipment, and develop your skills in arboriculture and landscape maintenance. Responsibilities Operate bucket trucks and other aerial lift equipment to access high branches safely for trimming and pruning. Use chainsaws, rigging techniques, and arborist rigging methods to prune or remove trees efficiently and safely. Perform tree removal operations with precision, including dismantling large or hazardous trees while minimizing impact on surrounding areas. Apply plant pruning care techniques to promote healthy growth and improve the overall appearance of trees and shrubs. Conduct landscape maintenance tasks such as lawn care, planting, and general landscape upkeep to support overall site health. Follow strict safety protocols during all operations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to industry standards. Utilize GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools for mapping or planning tree care projects when applicable. Skills Proven outdoor work experience with a focus on horticulture, dendrology (the study of trees), or landscaping. Strong knowledge of tree care practices, including pruning, trimming, and tree removal techniques. Skilled in operating bucket trucks, chainsaws, and other tree maintenance tools safely and effectively. Familiarity with arborist rigging techniques for climbing or lowering large branches or trees. Ability to perform plant pruning care that supports healthy growth and aesthetic appeal. Experience with GIS technology for mapping or project planning is a plus. Excellent understanding of safety protocols related to tree trimming, rigging, bucket operation, and outdoor work environments.
