Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Tree Service Worker and play a vital role in maintaining healthy, beautiful landscapes through expert tree care and removal. In this energetic position, you will operate specialized equipment, perform pruning and trimming, and ensure safety protocols are strictly followed. Your outdoor work will contribute to the safety, aesthetics, and sustainability of urban and rural environments. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your horticultural skills while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting. Responsibilities Operate skid steer, chainsaws, and other tree care equipment safely and efficiently to perform pruning, trimming, and removal tasks Use arborist rigging techniques to safely rig and dismantle large or hazardous trees Conduct tree removal operations with precision, ensuring minimal impact on surrounding landscapes Apply plant pruning care to promote healthy growth and enhance tree aesthetics Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as lawn care, planting, and general landscaping duties Follow strict safety protocols during all outdoor activities to prevent accidents and injuries Utilize GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools for mapping and planning tree care projects when applicable Assist with arborist rigging techniques for complex tree work involving rigging gear and safety harnesses Maintain equipment such as chainsaws, bucket trucks, and rigging gear in proper working condition Contribute to ongoing tree care education by staying current on horticulture, dendrology (study of trees), and growing experience best practices Experience Prior outdoor work experience in landscaping, horticulture, or tree care preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates Familiarity with GIS technology or interest in learning mapping tools for landscape planning is a plus Hands-on experience with bucket truck operation or arborist rigging techniques is highly desirable Knowledge of safety protocol adherence in outdoor environments is essential for success in this role Basic understanding of tree species (dendrology), plant pruning care, and general landscape maintenance practices will support your growth in this position Demonstrated ability to work effectively outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining attention to detail Join us as a Tree Service Worker and help shape vibrant communities through expert tree care!
