Job Description
Production Arborist / Tree Climber Position Overview Production Arborists/Climbers report directly to the Crew Leader, who in turn reports to the Operations Manager. The primary objective of this role is to deliver safe, professional, and high-quality arboricultural services across all service areas. Team members are expected to consistently maintain a positive and professional image.

Work outdoors for extended durations, including standing for long periods, getting in and out of equipment, and assisting with site cleanup such as moving brush, logs, and debris using appropriate tools. Safely lift and handle materials weighing 70 lbs. or more as required by job duties. Safety & Professional Standards Carry out arboricultural work in compliance withANSI A-300
pruning guidelines andANSI Z133
safety regulations. Properly wear and utilize all required personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with company policies, OSHA, and ANSI standards. Apply safe operating procedures when working near potentially dangerous equipment and energized electrical systems, including setting up appropriate traffic and work zone protections (cones, signage, barriers, etc.). Take responsibility for maintaining a safe and efficient job site by participating in job briefings, performing hazard assessments, and completing vehicle and equipment inspections before and after use. Consistently deliver work that meets company expectations for safety, productivity, and quality. Teamwork & Operations Collaborate with crew members to clear and remove debris, including brush, limbs, and logs, from job sites. Attend and actively participate in scheduled crew and safety meetings, sharing relevant job or operational updates as needed. Equipment & Accountability Maintain and properly care for all assigned company vehicles, tools, and equipment, ensuring they are used safely and kept in good working condition. Requisite Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Understanding of current tree climbing and rigging practices, operation of chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts, and willingness to learn and adopt new methods as needed. Ability to consistently follow safety procedures and ensure compliance with company policies as well as ANSI standards. Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus. Prerequisites High school diploma or equivalent preferred Valid driver's license required Class C driver's license preferred, with the ability to obtain a CDL Class A with air brake endorsement within 90 days of hire Experience operating arboriculture equipment and tools is preferred Minimum of two years climbing experience with the ability to evaluate and execute job requirements (preferred) ISA Certified Arborist or CTSP credentials are preferred; candidates are expected to work toward ISA certification, with training and certification costs covered by the company Additional Information This job description outlines the primary responsibilities of the Production Arborist/Climber role but is not intended to be all-inclusive.
