Job Description
Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Climbing Arborist, where you will play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the health, safety, and beauty of trees within our community. This energetic position involves working at heights, utilizing specialized climbing techniques, and employing a variety of tree care tools to perform precise pruning, trimming, and removal tasks. Your expertise will contribute to safer landscapes, healthier trees, and the overall aesthetic appeal of urban and suburban environments. We are looking for motivated individuals who thrive in outdoor settings and are eager to develop their skills in arboriculture and landscape maintenance. Responsibilities Safely climb trees using ropes, harnesses, and other technical gear to access difficult or elevated areas for pruning or removal. Perform tree trimming, pruning, cabling, bracing, and removal with precision to promote tree health and safety. Operate bucket trucks and bucket operation equipment to reach high branches efficiently and securely. Conduct rigging operations to carefully lower large limbs or tree sections during removals or pruning. Assist with landscaping tasks such as lawn care, landscape maintenance, and planting to support overall site aesthetics. Maintain equipment including chainsaws, rigging gear, bucket trucks, and safety gear to ensure optimal performance. Follow all safety protocols diligently while working at heights or with heavy machinery to prevent accidents or injuries. Experience Growing experience in arboriculture or related fields such as horticulture, landscaping, or lawn care is preferred. Prior experience with tree care practices including tree trimming, pruning, cabling, or removals is highly desirable. Familiarity with rigging techniques used in tree work for safe lowering of large limbs or sections. Experience operating bucket trucks or similar aerial lift equipment demonstrates technical proficiency. Strong understanding of landscape maintenance principles including lawn care and general horticulture practices. Certification in arboriculture or related disciplines is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
Pay:
$26.00 - $44.00 per hourBenefits:
