Arborist - Climbing Arborist

Climbing Arborist Harrity Tree Specialists is seeking a qualified climbing arborist to join our team. Harrity Tree Specialists, Inc. has provided professional arboricultural services in the Portland metro region since 1992. We take pride in delivering high quality tree care while maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for our team. We are currently seeking an experienced Climbing Arborist with strong technical skills and a professional approach. Qualifications and Experience Experienced Climbing Arborist Minimum 2 years of professional climbing experience in pruning, removals, and aerial rigging Willingness to attain ISA Certification Proficient in advanced climbing systems (DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS) Knowledge of and adherence to ANSI A300 and Z133 Safety Standards Experience with aerial lifts (Spider Lift, truck-mounted) and complex rigging systems Familiar with Best Management Practices (BMPs) for pruning, cabling, and removals Ability to identify Pacific Northwest tree species, structural defects, and disease indicators Skilled with chainsaws and hand tools, following all PPE and maintenance standards Experience operating or assisting with heavy equipment (mini skid steer, Bobcat, stump grinder) Able to plan and execute safe, efficient work sequences and direct ground support Strong communication skills with clients and teammates, representing the company with professionalism Valid driver's license and insurable driving record (required), CDL is a ++ Excellent situational awareness and adaptability in dynamic field conditions Physical ability to perform demanding aerial and ground work in all weather Commitment to teamwork, safety, and high-quality client service Job duties include: Maintaining a safe and positive work environment Utilizing ANSI pruning standards and ISA best arboriculture practices Tree removal Large tree pruning Ornamental tree pruning Managing ground support operations Driving trucks with trailers Maintaining equipment

Compensation:

$34 - $40 / hour starting for Experienced Climbers and $35 -$45 / hour starting for ISA Certified Climbing Arborists Additionally, we regularly have overtime hours available and work on BOLI wage jobs.
