Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Arborist to join our team, dedicated to the health and maintenance of trees. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of tree care practices, including trimming, rigging, and the safe operation of bucket trucks. Must have arborist experience, and must have climbing experience. Do not apply if you cannot climb. Must have reliable transportation daily to and from our shop in Elizabethtown PA. Overtime is available during storm and busy seasons. Duties Climbing trees to perform pruning, removal, and health assessments on trees on residential and commercial properties Perform tree trimming and pruning to promote healthy growth and aesthetics. Utilize rigging techniques for safe tree removal and trimming Operate bucket trucks safely for high-access tree care tasks. Operate tree service equipment such as chainsaws, skid loaders, chippers Maintain and service equipment and gear Assist with job site clean-up Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations and safety protocols are followed. Qualifications Valid driver's license and experience operating commercial vehicles Strong knowledge of arboriculture practices including tree identification, pruning techniques, roping techniques, knots and tree care Knowledge of arboriculture principles, and knowledge of industry standards. Physically capable of a performing demanding manual labor Experience with tree service equipment including chainsaws, skid loaders, chippers, and bucket trucks. Ability to work as a team
