Tree Climber Exton, PA 19341 From $35 an hour - Full-time From $35 an hour - Full-time Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Tree Climber and become a vital part of maintaining healthy, beautiful, and safe urban and rural landscapes. In this energetic role, you will ascend trees using specialized climbing techniques and equipment to perform pruning, trimming, and removal tasks. Your expertise will help enhance tree health, ensure safety standards are met, and support landscape aesthetics. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in arboriculture while contributing to community beautification and environmental stewardship. Duties Safely climb trees using harnesses, ropes, and climbing gear to access difficult or high branches. Perform tree pruning, trimming, and removal with precision to promote healthy growth and safety. Operate bucket trucks and other aerial lift equipment to reach elevated work areas efficiently. Rig and dismantle large branches or trees using ropes, pulleys, and cutting tools such as chainsaws. Conduct plant care assessments including disease detection, structural analysis, and growth evaluation based on dendrology principles. Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as lawn care, planting, and general landscaping to support overall site aesthetics. Follow safety protocols rigorously during all climbing activities and equipment operation to prevent accidents. Requirements Proven experience in tree care, arboriculture, or related horticulture fields with growing expertise preferred. Ability to operate bucket trucks safely and effectively for aerial work. Knowledge of rigging techniques for safe branch removal and tree dismantling. Familiarity with GIS (Geographic Information Systems) for mapping or site planning is a plus. Skills in plant pruning care, tree trimming, and landscape maintenance are highly desirable. Proficiency with chainsaws, pruning tools, and other arboricultural equipment. Strong understanding of dendrology (the study of trees), horticulture practices, and landscaping principles. Physical ability to climb trees for extended periods while maintaining safety standards.
