Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Tree Service Worker and play a vital role in maintaining healthy, safe, and beautiful urban and rural landscapes. In this energetic position, you will perform essential tree care operations, including pruning, trimming, removal, and planting, utilizing specialized equipment and arborist techniques. Your efforts will contribute to the safety of public spaces, enhance environmental quality, and support community beautification projects. Duties Operate bucket trucks and other aerial lift equipment safely to access trees at various heights for pruning or removal Use chainsaws and rigging techniques to cut and dismantle trees efficiently while adhering to strict safety protocols Perform tree removal tasks including stump grinding, debris cleanup, and site restoration to ensure safe surroundings Apply arborist rigging techniques for complex tree pruning and limb removal with precision and care Conduct plant pruning, tree trimming, and general tree care to promote healthy growth and aesthetic appeal Utilize GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools for mapping and documenting tree locations and health assessments Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as lawn care, planting new trees or shrubs, and general landscaping duties to support community projects Requirements Proven outdoor work experience with a focus on horticulture, landscaping, or arboriculture Familiarity with tree care practices including pruning, trimming, removal, and planting techniques Experience operating bucket trucks or similar aerial lift equipment safely Knowledge of arborist rigging techniques for safe limb removal and tree dismantling Ability to use chainsaws responsibly while following safety guidelines Strong understanding of safety protocols related to outdoor work environments and heavy equipment operation Growing experience or interest in dendrology (the study of trees), horticulture, or landscape maintenance is highly desirable Ability to work effectively in various weather conditions while maintaining attention to detail Join us in creating safer, greener communities!
