Full-Time Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and knowledgeable Pruner/Arborist to join our grounds maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the health, appearance, and safety of trees, shrubs, and other plants. If you have expertise in pruning, tree care, and a passion for working outdoors, we encourage you to apply!Key Responsibilities:
Perform pruning, trimming, and removal of trees, shrubs, and other vegetation to promote plant health and maintain aesthetic standards. Inspect trees and plants for signs of disease, pest infestations, or structural weaknesses and recommend treatment or removal as needed. Operate tools and equipment such as pruners, saws, chippers, and climbing gear safely and efficiently. Provide proper care and maintenance of tools and equipment. Safely remove dead, damaged, or hazardous trees and branches. Apply treatments, such as fertilizers or pest control products, to improve plant health. Collaborate with the grounds maintenance team to plan and execute landscaping projects. Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and environmental guidelines. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including tree assessments and maintenance activities. Work cohesively with a team Receive and execute directions from senior team members and managersQualifications:
Proven experience as a pruner, arborist, or similar role in tree care and maintenance. Knowledge of tree biology, pruning techniques, and plant care practices. Familiarity with tools and equipment used in arboriculture, including climbing equipment. Arborist certification a plus Strong physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Certification from a recognized arborist organization, such as ISA (preferred). Ability to identify tree species and assess their health and structural stability. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. A valid driver's license; CDL is a plus but not required.Pay:
