The Landscape Crew Member is a key hands-on field role responsible for executing routine grounds maintenance, landscape installation, and property care across Cerv's commercial and residential accounts. Reporting directly to the Landscape Crew Leader, this position ensures properties remain clean, healthy, and visually appealing while delivering consistent, high-quality service. The individual will work within a small, close-knit team. This full-time position requires strong technical skills, customer communication, and a commitment to safety. Duties Perform routine landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, string trimming, edging, weeding, pruning, and blowing. Operate power equipment (commercial mowers, trimmers, blowers, chainsaws, and hedge trimmers) safely and efficiently. Assist with seasonal landscape enhancements, including mulch installation, flower planting, shrub installation, sod laying, and soil bed preparation. Monitor property turf, plant health, and basic irrigation functions, reporting issues or pest/disease sightings to the Crew Leader. Maintain equipment, trucks, in clean, and well-organized condition. Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements, and OSHA guidelines. Participate actively in daily safety tailgate meetings, equipment inspection checks, and trade skill training. Ensure job sites are left clean, secure, and hazard-free upon completion. Work collaboratively with Crew Leaders and fellow Technicians to ensure efficient completion of daily service routes. Demonstrate a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and professional demeanor when interacting with clients or property managers. Follow job instructions, site plans, and contract scope accurately. Adhere strictly to hazardous chemical handling guidelines, OSHA safety standards, and local environmental compliance regulations. Safely operate company fleet vehicles and field equipment, maintaining an acceptable driving record. Participate in ongoing trade training, safety meetings, and pool operator certification/recertification programs.
Qualifications Experience:
2+ years of commercial or residential landscape maintenance experience preferred (entry-level candidates with a strong work ethic and mechanical aptitude are encouraged to apply).Trade Skills:
Familiarity with commercial turf equipment operation, plant care, basic pruning techniques, and general groundskeeping practices.Troubleshooting:
Experience trouble shooting irrigation system to ensure optimal performance and small engine repairKnowledge:
Strong knowledge of plant identification and pruning techniques Licensing /Driving:
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record preferred (required for drivers/operators).Bilingual Skills:

Ability to perform physical labor outdoors in varying Texas weather conditions, stand/walk/bend for long periods, and lift/carry up to 50 lbs regularly.
