Join Central Virginia's leading locally owned urban forestry team! Arborscapes is a locally owned and operated company providing exceptional tree and shrub care since 2002. We're looking for motivated, dependable individuals who want to grow a meaningful career in arboriculture/urban forestry — whether you're an experienced technican/climber or an aspiring trainee looking to advance. At Arborscapes, you'll learn from Certified Arborists, gain hands-on experience with the best equipment, and work outdoors every day promoting the health and beauty of our region's trees and landscapes. What You'll Do
  • Perform or assist with prunning, removal, or hardwear installation .
  • Learn and apply safe arboricultural and rigging techniques.
  • Learn to evaluate and diagnose tree health and structure concerns.
  • Operate urban forestry equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and uphold company safety and quality standards.
  • Communicate professionally with teammates and clients. Who We're Looking For
  • Experienced Climbers (1+ year)
  • skilled in rope and saddle climbing, pruning, and removals
  • Trainees / Groundsman
  • motivated individuals eager to learn and grow into arborist roles
  • Self-motivated, career-oriented, and able to work well in a team
  • Comfortable working outdoors year-round in a physically active environment
  • Valid driver's license with a clean record (CDL or willingness to obtain a CDL learner's permit within 30 days a plus).
  • Rock climbing or outdoor experience helpful but not required.
  • Prior experience in tree care, landscaping, or horticulture beneficial. We Offer
