​Freelance Tree Climber / Contract Arborist (1099) Mauricio's Tree Service Green Bay, WI Job Details Contract $300 - $600 a day 6 hours ago Benefits Opportunities for advancement Qualifications Saws Safety protocol adherence Tree removal Rigging Full Job Description Job Overview Mauricio's Tree Service is seeking an experienced, independent Freelance Tree Climber / Contract Arborist (1099) for project-based work in the Green Bay area. This role is strictly structured on a freelance, contract-by-contract basis, offering an excellent opportunity for seasoned tree care professionals who run their own freelance setups or independent operations to pick up steady, high-paying day work. ​
Core Scope & Expectations :
Strictly Spurring & Rope Climbing:
Candidates must be highly skilled, traditional production climbers. All structural pruning, technical rigging, and complete removals will be executed via climbing ropes, saddle, and spurs.
Please note:
We do not operate aerial lift bucket trucks at this stage; absolute proficiency in manual climbing is mandatory. ​
Equipment & Insurance:
As an independent 1099 contractor, you must provide your own personal climbing gear, saddle, ropes, and specialized tree saws. Proof of active General Liability insurance is required prior to starting on a job site. ​
Ground Support Provided:
Our ground crew handles all technical branch dragging, brush chipping, raking, and track stump grinding. Your primary focus is safely and efficiently executing the in-tree production. ​
Requirements :
​Experience is
Highly Necessary:
A minimum of 3+ years of verifiable, high-angle tree production climbing and complex technical rigging experience. You must be comfortable working around power lines and tight residential structures. ​
Language Skills:
English proficiency is required, but being Spanish bilingual is a huge plus to streamline production communication with our management team on site. ​
Reliability:
Strong work ethic, reliable transportation, and adherence to top-tier safety standards. ​
Compensation :
​$350.00 - $600.00 per day (Project-dependent; competitive day rates and half-day minimum guarantees paid immediately upon project completion).
Pay:
$300.00 - $600.00 per day
