We're growing (pun intended ), and we're looking for a Stump Grinder & Tree Planting Crew Member who's ready to get their hands dirty, learn a trade, and be part of a crew that actually works as a team. No fancy experience required—just a solid work ethic and a willingness to show up and learn. What You'll Do Operate (or learn to operate) stump grinding equipment to remove tree stumps safely and efficiently Assist with planting trees, shrubs, and other landscape materials Help prep sites for planting (digging, soil prep, positioning—yes, you'll get a workout ) Support clean-up efforts to leave job sites looking sharp and professional Work alongside crew members on various outdoor projects as needed Learn proper techniques, safety practices, and equipment use on the job What We're Looking For Comfortable working outdoors in all kinds of weather (sun, sweat, maybe a little mud…welcome to the Midwest) Able to lift, carry, and move heavy materials Reliable, hardworking, and not afraid of a little dirt Positive attitude and team-first mindset Valid driver's license preferred Why Join NWI? $18-$24/hour depending on experience Consistent, steady work (no guessing if you're on the schedule) Learn a valuable skillset in tree care and equipment operation Opportunity to grow into higher-skilled, higher-paying roles A crew that works hard—but keeps it real and has each other's backs If you're the kind of person who'd rather be outside than stuck behind a desk—and you actually like seeing the results of your work at the end of the day—this might be your spot.
