This position is responsible for performing tree care on commercial and private properties according to the customer's needs in an efficient and timely manner. Tree trimming, pruning, tree removal, and tree health management will be your typical job duties. In addition, leading other crew members, giving direction and other duties will be assigned when necessary. We are looking for applicants who are experienced.HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position. Normal work hours are 40 - 50 hours per week, Monday through Friday with some Saturday work if necessary. Because this is a weather-dependent outdoor position, hours may be adjusted at any time. For example, if it is raining the work will have to be paused and will resume when conditions allow for safer work conditions. We request that the applicant can be flexible in terms of schedules. The bulk of the work is spring through fall. Tree care is still performed in the winter, but hours are typically reduced. You will be able to pick up hours in the winter doing snow removal.REQUIRED LICENSES
A valid Wisconsin driver's license is required and a CDL would be preferred.REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Prior tree work is required. Tree climbing and rigging experience is required. This is not an entry-level position. Employees must be mechanically inclined, physically fit and have a good work ethic.POSITION DESCRIPTION
The following duties are included for this position:- Tree Identification
- Climbing trees safely.
- Rope and saddle tree climbing.
- Proper pruning of trees.
- Proper rigging of trees.
- Tree removal.
- Operate lifts, chippers, stump grinders, and loaders
- Properly and safely operate hand tools such as the chain saw.
- Perform pesticide treatments
- Groundwork.
- Wear proper PPE and work in a safe manner.
- Must be able to work independently and/or with other crews.
- Operate fleet vehicles.
