Seasonal Summer Workers Conservation

The Town of Fairfield Conservation Department is seeking paid summer workers. The positions are for a period of 8-10 weeks, starting June 1, 2026. Deadline for receipt of application is May 18, 2026. Clearing fallen trees Repainting trail blazes Trail maintenance Mowing/weed whacking Making and installing wood signs for Town open spaces Boardwalk installation/repair Planting trees/shrubs Removing invasive plant species Erosion control projects on trails Trash removal KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and

ABILITIES

Knowledge of Town open spaces/trails is a plus Must be self-motivated Must be capable of working outdoors with and without direct supervision in all weather conditions Experience with hand tools, mowing, basic carpentry, planting and yard work/brush clearing is desired

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Workers must be 18 years old Must have a valid driver's license

SCHEDULE

Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

PAY RANGE

$19/hour
