Join our dynamic team as a Pond Service Specialist! In this vibrant role, you will be at the forefront of maintaining beautiful aquatic environments, lush gardens, and thriving urban ecosystems. Your expertise will help create sustainable, healthy landscapes that enhance private and community spaces and support local wildlife. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine hands-on gardening skills with ecological stewardship, making a tangible difference in urban environments. We are committed to fostering growth and innovation in every project you undertake. Responsibilities Responsible for company-provided minitruck, tools & equipment to service ponds and water features. The job starts pre-dawn and runs for 8 hours a day (sometimes more, with paid OT). This time changes throughout the year, as our hours adjust to the sun and temperatures.
Duties will include:
Water gardening Filter cleaning Ocassionally changing out pumps and lights Plumbing work Low-voltage lighting work Sending daily videos to clients of what you accomplished and/or what needs to be done Taking good notes of every visit via your mobile phone and our software Qualifications Must love gardening Must love urban wildlife Must be over 25 years old, with a clean driving record (insurable) Must love working with the natural world full of insects, fish, frogs, turtles snails and any other interesting wet pet they may come across Must be personable and able to keep calm under pressure when clients are concerned and excited about their pond pets Must be reliable and an "on time" person Must yearn to learn about all things ponding! Must not be squeamish. Filters full of fish crap must be cleaned, pumps will need replacing in dark pump vaults full of dirty pond water, and there will be insects to work around. Must be in good physical shape - able to bend, kneel, and lift a minimum of 25 lbs., and be willing and able to work outside year-round. Must be able to read and write proficiently in English. Must have reliable transportation to and from 11th Avenue & Happy Valley Road every day. Must love dogs - most of our clients have dogs; we provide treats to carry with you.
