Full Job Description Job Summary:
The IPM Technician I will be reporting directly to the Head grower and collaborating closely with all leads and other supervisors in the cultivation department. They will play crucial role in ensuring the health and vitality of our cannabis plants while maintaining a pest-free environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Integrated Pest Management IPM Program Management :
Adhere to the selection and application of pest control methods, monitoring systems, and preventive measures.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the Flower and Vegetation team to adhere to IPM strategies into the vegetative growth and flowering phases, ensuring pest control methods are consistent and effective throughout the cultivation cycle.
Pest Identification:
Identify and diagnose pest and disease issues, implementing targeted treatment plans to mitigate infestations.
Data Analysis:
Collect and analyze data related to pest management and IPM program performance, providing insights and recommendations to improve pest control efficiency.
Chemical Application:
Safely and accurately apply approved pesticides and treatments as needed, following all regulatory guidelines and ensuring compliance.
Compliance:
Ensure strict compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations governing pesticide use and IPM practices in the cannabis industry.
Facility Maintenance:
Collaborate with the facilities and maintenance team to create an environment that minimizes pest and disease risks, including regular inspections and maintenance of the facility.
Reporting:
Prepare regular reports on IPM program performance, pest control efforts, and compliance metrics, providing insights to senior management.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
(MUST
BE DOCUMENTED
): High School Degree (or GED) preferred. Minimum of 1 years of hands-on experience in integrated pest management in indoor cannabis cultivation. In-depth knowledge of cannabis cultivation, pest and disease identification, and IPM strategies. Strong understanding of pesticide regulations and safety protocol In-depth knowledge of cannabis strains, genetics, and nutrient requirements. Strong understanding of compliance regulations related to irrigation and nutrient management. Good problem-solving and decision-making skills. Ability to collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment. Str Strong work ethic and a commitment to quality and excellence.
CERTIFICATION, LICENSES AND ANY ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be 21 years of age or older. Must pass periodic random drug screens. Must be able to pass background suitability investigation. Must obtain all other applicable certifications and licenses. Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States within 72 hours of employment.

Employee may be occasionally required to work in low light conditions and may be exposed to loud noise for extended periods.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Multiple locations. Some enterprises are open 24 hours per day, 7 days per week; therefore, you must be flexible to work any and all hours. Must be available for emergency calls 24/7. Must be available to work weekend and holidays. Some enterprises are gaming facilities. Some enterprises are not a smoke-free environment. Surveillance cameras and audio equipment monitor the premises recording activity throughout most of the facilities on 24 hours per day, 7 days per week basis.
