Position Overview The Irrigation Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing irrigation systems to ensure optimal performance and plant health across client properties. This seasonal role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on outdoor work, problem‑solving, and working independently while contributing to a collaborative team. Key Responsibilities Install, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation systems, including valves, controllers, heads, and lines Perform system start‑ups in the spring, mid‑season checks, and fall winterizations Diagnose and resolve irrigation issues such as leaks, pressure problems, and coverage inefficiencies Adjust and program irrigation controllers for efficient water use Conduct routine inspections to ensure systems meet Ceres Landcare quality standards Communicate repair needs, recommendations, and findings to supervisors and clients Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used Collaborate with landscape maintenance teams to ensure seamless service delivery Qualifications Previous irrigation experience preferred (installation, repair, diagnostics) Ability to read and interpret irrigation plans and system layouts Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills Reliable, self‑motivated, and able to work independently Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Strong communication skills and a customer‑service mindset Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions throughout the season Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Frequent bending, kneeling, digging, and working with hand tools Ability to walk, stand, and work outdoors for extended periods Comfortable working in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, and uneven terrain Ability to operate small machinery and irrigation‑related equipment What We Offer Competitive hourly pay: $24-$30 per hour Seasonal employment from Spring through the end of Fall Opportunities for advancement within a growing company Supportive team environment with strong leadership Training and skill‑development opportunities Equal Employment Opportunity Ceres Landcare is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) employer.
