Overview Join our dynamic farm team as a Farm Help / Ranch Hand and become an integral part of maintaining a thriving agricultural operation. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors in a hands-on environment, supporting various farm activities and livestock management. We're looking for motivated individuals who are eager to learn, take initiative, and contribute to the health and productivity of our farm. Whether you're experienced or just starting your farming journey, this paid position provides valuable skills development and the chance to work with a dedicated team committed to sustainable agriculture. Responsibilities Assist with daily livestock care, including feeding, watering, herding, and health monitoring of animals such as goats, chickens or other farm animals Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment including tractors, forklifts, power tools, and irrigation systems following safety standards Perform routine repairs and maintenance on equipment and infrastructure using welding, mechanical knowledge, hand tools, and basic math skills Support crop growing activities such as planting, watering, pruning, greenhouse management, and horticulture tasks Handle manual labor tasks such as heavy lifting, fencing installation or repair, manure management, and general farm upkeep Follow safety protocols during all operations to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and team members Assist in supervising or working alongside other team members to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to farm procedures Experience Prior experience in farming, agriculture, or ranch work is highly desirable but not mandatory; we value enthusiasm and willingness to learn Demonstrated outdoor work experience with heavy equipment operation such as tractors or farm machinery Knowledge of animal husbandry practices including livestock handling and animal care techniques Skills in equipment repair, maintenance, welding, and mechanical troubleshooting are preferred Familiarity with irrigation systems, greenhouse operations, horticulture practices or growing experience is a plus Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while managing heavy lifting requirements Basic understanding of safety standards in production environments combined with experience using hand tools and power tools This role is perfect for someone passionate about agriculture who enjoys working outdoors in a physically active setting.
