Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and energetic Farm Assistant to join our dynamic agricultural team! In this vital role, you will support daily farm operations, assist with animal care, operate various farm machinery, and help maintain the overall health and productivity of the farm. Your enthusiasm and hands-on approach will contribute to a thriving farm environment where teamwork and dedication are celebrated. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop practical skills in farming, animal husbandry, equipment maintenance, and sustainable agriculture practices. Duties Assist with daily animal husbandry tasks including feeding, watering, grooming, and monitoring animal health. Support crop growing activities by managing irrigation systems, planting, harvesting, and greenhouse maintenance. Perform general farm maintenance including fencing repairs, equipment cleaning, and facility upkeep. Handle heavy lifting tasks required for moving supplies or materials around the farm. Supervise or collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations. Requirements Mechanical knowledge related to farm machinery, equipment repair, welding, and general maintenance is a plus but not required Familiarity with farming practices including irrigation systems, horticulture, greenhouse work, and growing techniques. Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and outdoor work in various weather conditions. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to planting or feeding schedules. Willingness to learn is of the greatest importance as we are willing to train.
