What they do
A Farm, Nursery, or Greenhouse Worker propagates, cultivates and harvests plants, primarily flowers, trees, shrubs and sod, and other crops such as mushrooms that are grown in greenhouses, or grows and harvests farm crops such as grain, fruit or vegetables. Operates and maintains equipment used to grow and harvest plants and crops. Cares for animals including dairy cows or chickens, pigs or other animals raised for meat.

- Part-time, Full-time Fairvue Farms is a third-generation family dairy farm located in Woodstock CT.

- Forage Harvester Experience Preferred Spray License a plus Heavy Equipment Operator Preferred CDL Class A a plus Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate Field Equipment in the planting, harvesting, and management of crops. Transportation of Feed, Bedding, and land application of manure Perform ground/facility/equipment maintenance Maintain accurate field records, inventory, and weight information Work closely with management to communicate feedback, field conditions, and areas of improvement Physical Demands
- Able to do physically demanding work (lifting, standing, reaching) Able to work in a variety of weather Working at elevated positions, in dusty conditions, and around noisy equipment
