  • Part-time, Full-time Fairvue Farms is a third-generation family dairy farm located in Woodstock CT.
We are currently milking 1500 animals at this time. We are focused on producing the highest quality milk while preserving our land, our people, and our community. We are looking to add a new member to our Crops Team. Fairvue Farms is looking for an experienced, self-motivated, full time Farm Equipment Operator to help in the production of high-quality corn and forage silage. Our ideal candidate brings basic mechanical knowledge and is comfortable operating larger equipment. This is a key member of the team, and will be a leader in our production of high-quality crops. We are looking for someone who understands the importance of a healthy and happy herd and how the quality of feed directly affects that. The position does require additional hours during peak planting/harvest times of the year. We are looking for a team player, as this position may have to step in to do all the jobs on the farm. Pay will be dependent on experience. Key Employee Characteristics

  • Forage Harvester Experience Preferred Spray License a plus Heavy Equipment Operator Preferred CDL Class A a plus Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operate Field Equipment in the planting, harvesting, and management of crops. Transportation of Feed, Bedding, and land application of manure Perform ground/facility/equipment maintenance Maintain accurate field records, inventory, and weight information Work closely with management to communicate feedback, field conditions, and areas of improvement Physical Demands
  • Able to do physically demanding work (lifting, standing, reaching) Able to work in a variety of weather Working at elevated positions, in dusty conditions, and around noisy equipment
