Palm Bay, FL Job Details Full-time $18 - $25 an hour 10 hours ago Benefits Opportunities for advancement Qualifications Customer communication Full Job Description Benefits/Perks Competitive Compensation Career Advancement Opportunities Great Work Environment Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dependable Irrigation Technician to install, maintain, and repair irrigation systems for residential and commercial landscapes. This position plays an important role in supporting healthy landscapes while promoting water conservation through efficient irrigation practices. The ideal candidate is hardworking, reliable, professional, and eager to learn on the job. Experience with residential and commercial irrigation assembly, troubleshooting, and repair is strongly preferred. Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair residential and commercial irrigation systems Map and prepare areas for irrigation system installation Dig trenches and install pipes, drip lines, valves, and sprinkler components Install pumps, controllers, and electrical timers Program and adjust watering schedules based on landscape needs and weather conditions Perform routine maintenance inspections and system performance checks Diagnose and repair leaks, broken sprinkler heads, wiring faults, and controller issues Troubleshoot irrigation system malfunctions using specialized testing equipment Adjust spray patterns and replace worn or damaged components Maintain accurate records of services performed, parts used, and inventory Provide excellent customer service and maintain professional communication with clients Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications 1-3 years of experience in residential and commercial irrigation assembly, troubleshooting, and repair preferred Knowledge of irrigation system components, including PVC piping, valves, controllers, and drip systems Team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn and grow, while also being able to work independently Strong communication, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills Ability to bend, kneel, dig, and work in physically demanding outdoor environments for extended periods, including in extreme weather conditions Ability to safely move heavy equipment and materials
