Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Sod Farm and Landscape Laborer, where you'll play a vital role in cultivating lush, healthy turf and supporting landscape projects. This energetic position offers hands-on experience in sod production, installation, and general landscape maintenance. You will work outdoors in a fast-paced environment, utilizing your skills to ensure high-quality results that enhance outdoor spaces. Whether you're assisting with farm operations or contributing to landscape beautification, your efforts will directly impact the beauty and functionality of our environments. Responsibilities Assist with the planting, harvesting, and laying of sod to ensure healthy growth and optimal quality for sale or installation Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and other farm machinery safely and efficiently for moving materials and maintaining fields Support landscape projects by preparing soil, installing irrigation systems, and handling hand tools for planting and trimming tasks Conduct equipment inspections, perform minor repairs, and ensure all tools and machinery are maintained in good working order Assist with any and all duties to help fellow team members complete the mission. Follow safety protocols during heavy lifting, operation of power tools, or use of heavy machinery to prevent accidents Experience Supervising experience is a plus Mechanical knowledge related to farm machinery, mowers, sod cutters is a plus Familiarity with forklift operation and heavy equipment handling for material movement is a plus Practical knowledge of farming practices, agriculture techniques, horticulture, or greenhouse management Ability to handle hand tools, power tools, irrigation systems, and perform basic math calculations for measurements and quantities Growing experience or background in landscaping or green space development is beneficial Prior work involving heavy lifting, equipment operation, or maintenance tasks is advantageous This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in agriculture, landscape construction, and farm management while contributing to beautiful outdoor environments.
