Job Description:

• Operate tractors and other agricultural equipment to fertilizer, plant, cultivate, and harvest crops in field and grass areas.
• Apply fertilizers and pesticides in accordance with University of Florida and regulatory guidelines.
• Assist with field water control systems and facilities maintenance activities.
• Operate, inspect, and maintain a variety of equipment, including tractors, irrigation systems, and related machinery.
• Collect soil samples for testing and analysis.
• Operate University of Florida vehicles as required for work assignments.
• Lubricate, clean, and perform routine upkeep on vehicles, machinery, equipment, instruments, tools, shop areas, and related workspaces using hand tools, power tools, and cleaning equipment.
• Work schedule of Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with availability to work occasional weekends as needed.
• Perform required duties in outdoor environments with frequent exposure to hot and humid weather conditions.

Expected Salary:

$17.00 hourly

Required Qualifications:

Valid Florida driver license.

Preferred:

High School Diploma. Farm experience, including heavy equipment operation. Basic computer knowledge. Ability to lift at least 30 lbs. weight Must obtain pesticide license within 3 months of employment. Special Instructions to
