Job Description

Ranch Hand Job Description Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Ranch Hand to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the ranch, ensuring the health and well-being of livestock, maintaining equipment, and supporting various ranch activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Livestock Care:
Feed, water, and monitor the health of sheep, and other animals.
Maintenance:
Repair and maintain fences, barns, pens, and other ranch structures. Operate and maintain machinery and equipment such as tractors and ATVs.
Land Management:
Manage pastures, control weeds, and assist in planting and mowing. Implement rotational grazing practices to support sustainable land use.
General Ranch Duties:
Assist with sorting, herding, and transporting livestock. Participate in seasonal activities such as spraying and planting.
Qualifications:
Prior experience in ranching or agricultural settings preferred Ability to operate and maintain ranch equipment safely Strong work ethic, physical stamina, and willingness to work outdoors in varying conditions Basic understanding of animal health and welfare Good communication and teamwork skills
Working Conditions:
Full-time position with the possibility of extended hours, including weekends and holidays Physically demanding work requiring lifting, bending, and long periods of standing or walking Exposure to varying weather conditions and potentially hazardous environments
