Job Description

About the Position We are looking for a hardworking, organized, and plant-loving individual to join our production team. The Production Nursery Assistant works directly with the Nursery Manager to help care for plants, maintain greenhouse operations, and keep daily production running smoothly. This is a hands-on position that offers excellent opportunities for growth and advancement within the greenhouse industry. What You'll Do Help organize and complete daily greenhouse tasks. Keep greenhouses clean, organized, and ready for plant production. Assist with watering, transplanting, spacing, and general plant care. Monitor plant health and report signs of pests, disease, or other issues. Apply fertilizers, fungicides, and insecticides following safety guidelines. Help maintain greenhouse systems, including irrigation equipment, fans, boilers, and injectors. Track plant inventory and know where crops are located throughout the nursery. Assist with watering and maintenance in the propagation area. Help organize crops to maximize greenhouse space and efficiency. Assist with training and supporting other greenhouse team members. Participate in seasonal greenhouse cleanouts and sanitation projects. Assist customers in the retail store as needed and help pack online orders on select mornings. What We're Looking For Greenhouse, nursery, horticulture, agriculture, or landscaping experience is preferred but not required. Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Interest in plants and greenhouse production. Ability to identify problems and communicate them clearly. Basic math and record-keeping skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work throughout the day. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Why Join Us? Pay:
$14.00 - $18.00 per hour
