Employee will help with general farm labor. During the fall harvest season, help with physically demanding tasks such as general maintenance and cleaning of buildings, property, and work areas. Employees will clean out grain bins and doing drain tile installation and repair. These tasks are time dependent--drain tile work and harvest needs to be done while the weather is good and the soil is unfrozen. Fall work will also consist of operating tractors/mowers/combines and some trucking. Workers will operate equipment such as harvesters/tractors/mowers/trucks. Workers will need to drive, fix, and adjust harvest, tilling, and unloading equipment. They will attach farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers or harvesters using hand tools, drive vehicles to haul supplies, tools or other employees. SVF LLC will offer a bonus payment after successful completion of the Fall harvest season of $250 per employee on or after November 30, 2025. Employees will made aware of this orally and/or in writing before and during each season. This bonus will be in addition to all required wages and will not be used to meet the required wage rate. Full details will be provided during orientation. SVF LLC will provide paid sick leave at a minimum 5 days of paid sick leave per employee, from the beginning of the employee's contract until the end of the contract. An employee will give notice before the start of the workday. For illnesses during the workday, sick leave will be pro-rated based upon an 8 hour day. The complete sick leave policy will be provided during orientation. Hours and days will vary depending on weather and other factors. Some overtime and weekends required during the busy season.
