Job Duties:

Positions available for farm workers involving horseradish harvest, sorting/trimming and planting. Applicants must be physically able to stand for long periods while using their hands to trim, sort and snap horseradish roots. Applicants must be able to immediately comprehend and execute directions from supervisors on how to remove dirt, select planting stock, remove leaves and foreign material, grade and cull horseradish roots. Applicants must be willing to work as group with other employees on a continuous process line to optimize productivity. Applicants cannot be under the influence of any illegal or legal substances causing impairment of mental focus or physical abilities. Applicants/Employees may be drug tested, at expense of employer, if substance use causing impairment is suspected. Tasks will vary by season and will require work inside and outside during hot and cold weather. Planting horseradish will require exposure to outside work environment and ability to sit for long periods of time while using hands to individualize and place planting stock into planting mechanism. Additional indoor and outdoor tasks may include hand weeding of crops, assisting with on farm maintenance projects and miscellaneous farm tasks.
