Farm Equipment Operator/Class A-CDL Driver AB Farms Monticello, IL 61856 $24

  • Full-time Position Summary The ideal candidate is a flexible, team-player that will spend 50% of time handling seed deliveries and 50% assisting with day-to-day farm operations.
This position requires 2+ years of experience with a valid Class A-CDL and a strong commitment to customer service, and safety. Responsibilities Class A-CDL Driver Operate company semi to deliver grain to central Illinois elevators in a timely manner. Organize orders, load, and unload seed boxes and pallets utilizing a forklift. Maintain equipment through routine inspections, cleaning, and basic maintenance. Follow all DOT regulations and company safety procedures. Maintain accurate and organized records related to deliveries. Provide friendly, professional service to customers. Farm Support Assist with daily farm operations, including planting, spraying, harvesting, and equipment preparation. Experience with safely operating tractors, planters, sprayers, augers, and other farm equipment. Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on farm equipment. Identify and communicate equipment issues, safety concerns, and operational needs. Keep the shop, equipment, and work areas organized and clean. Be a team player with a positive attitude and willingness to assist others where needed. Qualifications 2+ years experience with a valid Class A-CDL. Clean driving record. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Experience on-farm operating farm equipment. Mechanical aptitude is a must. Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail. Maintain a professional attitude and represent the company positively. Positive attitude and willingness to work extended hours during planting and harvest seasons.
