This physically demanding job is outdoors working in the greenhouse and also our retail store. Passion for flowers/shrubs/plants and experience in industry is vital and required. Must have strong customer service skills. Requires physical ability of moving plants, loading bags of mulch/dirt, working outdoors in all weather conditions (especially heat (100+ degrees)), watering with hose, along with operating computer and software programs. Position must be willing to work during store hours of 8a-6pm Monday through Friday and Weekends (Saturday 8a-3pm and Sunday 12p-4p). Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs occassionally and up to 20 lbs frequently. Responsibilities Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their gardening and greenhouse needs. Maintain the greenhouse environment, including proper watering of plants Utilize horticultural knowledge to identify plant species and offer care advice. Perform heavy lifting and moving tasks to organize and display products effectively. Assist in general maintenance of the greenhouse such as pulling weeds, raking rock, and staging plants, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
